Elise and AK47 2 by williamtio Elise and AK47 2 by williamtio
My second attempt of Elise, this time with only an AK47. I was sure I drew the right size of the AK47, but it still looks a bit too small! Oh well...

Ah, how I hate dA's category. Is there a way for me to specify Traditional Media and Digital together? Since I am doing a mix of both? ;_;

Even the AK47 can't save how ridiculous this picture is.

I have the same leg-lenght foreshortening problem =/
Freaking hard to notice ourselves
But I don't think they look much different. The knee does look a bit twisted in a way it shouldn't =/

On the gun, you're getting a lot better at it, but it's still very small.
AKs look smaller than they actually are, it's a bigass 7.62 rifle.

Haha, yeah it's hard to notice it ourselves. That's why dA is a good place to get feedback xD Hahaha, yes now that everyone talks about it, the knee does look weird!

I felt like doing the 3rd version now :D

Nope.

There used to be Mixed Media, but they took it down, so, yeah, man... I feel your pain.
I recommend you stick to the one you spent more time (or effort) with or on which type of media you originally intended to make it with.

Oh darn, I did saw Mixed Media but not under Anime/Manga. How confusing! Why do we categorize our work again? /sulk

Hahaha xD

Viewer's convenience, apparently.

Actually, it's a whole lot better if we could use tags to categorize everything. Places like minitokyo.net and Danbooru make good use of that.

For example, you could tag drawing styles: [japanimation] or [westernimation] or [other-what-have-yous] and then tag them under genres: [sci-fi] or [fantasy], because technically, animation is a medium, not a genre or a style: [digital] or [traditional] or both.

Judging by how few of us complain about categories, I don't think dA is going anywhere with this system.

Haha, remind me of Wolfenstein. You can pick engineer class and you can hand ammo to other classes xD

lol, great!
Trying not to be nitpicky, AK's sights are not bent to the perspective of the rest of the gun.

and one leg seems to be shorter/longer than the other, and the bent leg's ankle is at an angle of which it looks painfully broken.

But anyways, Girl with gun in a uniform with a short skirt. Whats not to love? XD

she just needs more ammo.

Thanks! I totally didn't notice the sight, now that you tell me, it does look wrong! I'll see if I can fix it since the original drawing was quite messy, so I had to clean up xD

My sister also pointed out the legs, but I kinda fail to see the shorter/longer problem, since the shorter one supposed to be bent backwards, I guess I had to do more research on legs perspective :(

Thanks for commenting! Hopefully I won't make the same mistake on my next drawing :D

Then its the position of the foot and the lack of stronger shadows thats making the leg look iffy lol

Oh, I see what you mean. Hmm... Ideally if it's behind, then it should have more shadows. I'll see if I can fix it.
